I enjoy cooking and eating food sooo much more than exercise. I can do the minimum for exercise but it’s really not enough to balance out the amount of time I spend thinking about, preparing, and eating food. Must come up with a way to remedy this…

so Mondays are proving to be an impossible day for me – the 5 hours solid of mental health policy followed by social epidemiology resulting in brain-fry and inability to go to my regular yoga class. that said, i’m going to gym in morning and making the evening a time to do a mini home practice w/ some meditation, and spend some time cooking which I enjoy a lot.

ate healthy breakfast & lunch, but then had a huge dinner out for early bday celebration with my mom. indulgences will continue through the weekend, but I have the rest of the month to be good!

yoga on Mon nights is proving a tall order after 5 hours straight of class and being hungry when i get home at 5:30. but I do a light workout in the morning as insurance plus bit of hills on campus and then did 20 mins of yoga/stretching on the wii to compensate.

Amazing how light I am at the start of the day! ;-) But no, I’m usually not all that energetic first thing in the morning unless I’ve been sleeping in and it’s the weekend.

decided tonight to skip yoga class, which I felt very torn about but with starting classes again I’m having a hard time adjusting to the new schedule so decided to take a me time/self-care night instead. but that means I can still do my 10 min meditation and I already went to the gym this morning. the next 15 weeks are going to kick my butt, but I think that sometimes letting myself off the hook while still achieving my goals/rules is a good idea.

took care of both exercise (lower body lifting + 25 mins on elliptical) and 10 mins meditation before noon! ideally, i’ll exercise & meditate on both weekend days so that’s halfway to my meditation quota and then all I need to do is go to yoga class.

well, I think the weight is misleading when I weigh myself in the morning. fluctuates a lot!
