was doing great until last friday, weekend and days off has thrown off my schedule, but hope to get back to it tomorrow or Thurs at the latest!

travel to chicago, job stress, being laid off & applying for new jobs, interviews, houseguests, wedding next week – plenty of excuses yet all reasons that i should be meditating!

I just spent 15 mins beating myself up for feeling too hungry to go to my lunchtime yoga class, then realized that I ate breakfast an hour earlier than I usually do this morning b/c of an early meeting. so maybe it’s ok when I’m tired and cranky and hungry to skip a workout?

incredibly stressful couple of weeks at work, trying to not binge on comfort food. exercise not great last week, better this week. scaled down rules this month so easier to attain :)

yay for weekends with time to exercise! my new dilemma is – evening yoga vs having time to cook healthy meals in evenings. hard to eat well let alone cook when I don’t get home until 7:45.. wish I was a morning person or required less sleep!

congrats on weekend catch-up! i feel your late home arrival. if i don’t leave SF by 6 pm, i treading water getting home at least by 7:15 … and it feels like a slippery slope after that. i am looking to see what things i can prep ahead of time and then just “mush together” when i’m home late. and something not too heavy and that is easily digestible. :-)

I have this problem too when I climb at night. I get home after 8 and I’m exhausted and starving. Wish I had an answer beyond egg/egg whites which are really quick proteins.

yeah I’m thinking I need to really carve out weekend time (sigh) to cook several things to be able to grab and eat when I get home. That or figure out how to split my dinner into 2 meals and eat half at 4 and half at 8, but I don’t really like doing that – dinner at the end of the day is my unwind time!

didn’t do as much healthy home cooking as I wanted this week, but bringing lots of clothes to work → yoga twice and gym twice so workouts 4/5 days is pretty good, plus plan to hike tomorrow & maybe back to gym sunday. just gotta find new routine that makes sense & then repeat until it becomes automatic.

Keep up the good work. Big changes are definitely hard on routines but you’ll get it going again in no time.
