Had a bit of a rough end to the month while trying to readjust to life with my husband being home. I have a positive attitude going into June, though, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Well, only 15 minues of May left. I am so excited that June is finally here, to be followed by July and August. Summer and sun, biking and swimming, working on health, and hopefully becoming stonger and better prepared to be as solid as I can be in my life, for myself, for my family, for my loved ones, for my friends, and for putting good vibes and healthy living as a ripple out into the world.

GREAT JOB FOR YOUR WORK IN MAY, EVERYBODY!!

AND, GREAT LUCK IN JUNE! WE CAN MAKE AN IMPROVEMENT! :-D

Finishing the month on a good note! Results from my first experiment are in and as predicted, the second experiment has started running, and the illustrator came through on schedule for the stims for the third one — things are going smoothly. It’s been a productive past 30 days, and June’s going to be even more so.

A good day. Went for a run this morning, got more dishes done (including some Ziploc bowls!), got more laundry done, got more done in the bedroom.

Got new post up at http://makingaplan.wordpress.com

Sandy is sleeping a lot. I’m not sure if it’s because she’s ill or what. She eats and then she sleeps.

Wow, I am exhausted. Was up way too late last night and woke up early this morning. (Stupid sun.)

Probably spending Friday in Saskatoon, getting work done and stuff. Our new-to-us car should be ready for pickup by the end of the work day, and I guess I will need it as we are rescheduling my community access shift for tomorrow night!

Submitted my story for the anthology. Reading period is done August 31. After that it’s a waiting game, I guess.

Making good progress on unfinished works. Finished first draft of an essay this morning, so will be working on the final few scenes of a short story for the next little while. Got a bit more of an idea about where the guinea pig musical is going (yes I’m still working on that). Most of the lyrics are atrocious, but they amuse me, so that’s fine. It’s just the first draft anyhow. ;)

I ended my fast this evening with soup from a dried broth and vegetable packet my mother sent me, plus some fried tofu. The fast made me mindful about food again, and I’m glad to have done it. I might make short fasts more “regular” events (maybe one day per month??)

bitdepth needs fruit, barely.

I lost 1 life point because of the following things…
  • Ate some fried food

I’m going to heal myself since I’ve been missing some things, but my heart is in the right place and I’m trying to balance exercise with food that I’ve been eating and I want to end the month with some life points too.

I’m seriously considering buying HealthMonth.com from Buster. Fortunately, my wife Beryl is supportive of this idea!

I would love it if you did!
My daughter lives in Seattle, is a computer whiz (she is involved in developing mobile apps) and has met Buster.

I let her know the site was available…she has her hands full…

But she and I see TREMENDOUS upside potential in the site.

As I said, I hope you buy it.m that would be sooooooooopoo cool!

Hi Carl,

I had the same idea! Like Patrick, I see huge growth potential in HealthMonth.
Let’s connect separately, it could perhaps be a joint venture :-)

Patrick — I see so much potential too! I’d really aim to keep the same design philosophy and look and feel of the site (open, friendly community space, ad-free if at all possible) with small changes in 2012 and major changes / mobile app versions not until 2013 — after all, I have a PhD to finish this year… A mobile app for Health Month is an obvious next step. Fitocracy knocked it out of the park with their mobile app, which could be an inspiration for an iPhone version of Health Month. Alien Blue (the “unofficial” Reddit mobile app) also has inspiring design elements for a tablet version of Health Month. Another idea is some sort of perk for team leaders; maybe a free month (or tokens to give away) if everyone on the team wins? That’s not to even mention the whole spirit animal guides and spirit dollars part of the site…

Cat — absolutely! My e-mail is polleyc@gmail.com. Please get in touch. I’d be happy share the e-mail exchange I’ve been having with Buster as well as my thoughts for the site, and let’s discuss the possibilities for working together.

So, for the last day of the month, I had a really active day – two hours of walking and my swimming class in the evening.

We went to an afternoon tea party to raise money for cancer research. It was a good thing we did all the walking; the cakes were really yummy :)
